I’d thought I was done with White-crowned Sparrows this spring. The vast majority of them have migrated out of our area, returning to their summer breeding territory. However, I recently ran across this pair of laggards and couldn’t resist photographing them.

I don’t have much to say. They’re just a very attractive pair perched in a nice setting.

Images made with a Canon R5, Canon RF 800mm f11 lens, M setting (auto ISO), ISO 800, f11 @ 1/1000, +1 stop exposure compensation.

We sometimes see these in the NE. Right now the White-throated Sparrows are singing up a storm.
