When I post I try to tell a story about the subjects of my images. To me, all creatures have fascinating characteristics and/or lifestyles. My mission in posting about these creatures is to provide at least a bit of information about how they have evolved and how they go about their lives.

Sometimes, however, I post simply to present a pretty picture. That’s the case with today’s image, a photograph I made a few weeks ago of a White-crowned Sparrow perching in early morning sunlight.

There’s not much for me to say about this image except to say that it is of a very pretty little bird posing for me in beautiful light.

Image made with a Canon R5, Canon EF 400mm f4 DO II lens+Canon EF 1.4x telextender, M setting (auto ISO), ISO 2000, f5.6 @ 1/2000, +3 stops exposure compensation.
