Burrowing Owls On Election Eve — Looking A Bit Stressed

Tomorrow is Election Day in the United States. As far as I’m concerned this whole damn process has lasted entirely too long — nearly two years if you include the various candidates’ early announcements. Good luck trying to find anything in our news media these past months aside from election coverage. It’s been way too much. I want it to be over.
When I looked at these photos of Burrowing Owls, taken over the past three weeks, I laughed because they remind me of how I must look after spending a few hours reading political websites or watching election coverage on TV.
I fear that I, too, sometimes display that intense and anxious stare.
Ah well, just another day to go. Courage, we’ll all get through it.
